california market... posted by k-------
You know how I feel about this stuff... I'd tell the owner to go scratch himself! But, I also understand the market is what it is. If I were really interested in the property, I'd make the offer subject to my personal satisfaction upon viewing. Kind of a "you want to be a butthead, I'll be a butthead, too." If you want the kinder, gentler version, make the offer subject to standard inspection approvals, or other "easy out" vehicles. MOVE TO FLORIDA! trel : a bit off topic but... remember our discussion about a month ago regarding california market and unusual demands builders/homeowners are now making? well, this just in...went to drive past a property [can't see the property since it is completely blocked [curbside] by enormous evergreens]that came on the market the day before yesterday. Got a good look at the 3 car garage from the street, though. : : owner demands: prospective buyers must make a formal offer of purchase BEFORE they can come on the grounds to look at the property up close and personal. owner is asking $900,000. house built in 1965 w/2500 sq ft living space. no pool or backyard landscaping according to listing. property just under an acre. surrounding area homes range from $1.2-1.6 mill. what should i do?
